11 Nov Fishing Trip onboard Deepsea Fishing @ Changi

We board the boat at around 8 pm via a wooden jetty that's beside the PA Water Venture at Changi. Thank God some of our kakis couldn't make it for the trip as it would definitely be too squeezy for 10 pax on board.

The above is the total catch by 7 person on board at spots around Changi Naval Base from 8 am to 5 pm . I got the one and only biggest grouper for the day towards the end of the trip at around 4 pm . Boatman claim that we had a good catch on that particular trip.

Thankfully I had a sizeable grouper as I have been on a dry spell for quite some time. Hopefully this trip will be the end of my dry spell and I will get more hook ups in the days to come.

Glide Angler 1st Launch

My Biggest and Heaviest Birthday Present, Emotion Glide Angler

It was the biggest , heaviest and best birthday surprise I ever had! The future Mrs Koh had it send down to my place just before my birthday dinner with the help of Jack !(the man behind Kayak Project) All the while I was kept in the dark, and I even tell Jack that I will view the kayak days later, earlier in the afternoon, and he still act blur!

My first DIY for my kayak was this kayak cart. It took me around 3 hours to source for the correct wheel and materials  and 1 hour to complete the kart.

Dave GT Pond - A day filled with KBL!

 First Fish of the Day

 Queensland Grouper

 KBL

After learning of the marvellous CR by my kakis (where almost one live tilapia equals one GT), I starting asking my pals to try out the pond. Few days later, we headed down to the pond with high hopes of landing multiple GT. Live bait were pre-booked through Dave himself as I was warned that there was a limited supply of live bait.(Rough gauge is to get $10 worth of live tilapia per pax)

There was a take on the live bait within seconds of it touching the water. However I failed to set hook as I wasn't really prepared for it. Soon my pal started to land a sizeable KBL. After multiple attempts to set hook successfully, I landed a sizeable MJ.(No picture taken)  Minutes later, a medium sized queensland grouper was landed.

After that it was Kims all the way till the session ended.  As we were packing up, we were told that the GT are more attractive in the afternoon. Hopefully will be back again in the afternoon to hunt for the GT!
